Began the oyster morphology measurement process and created some spreadsheets and a google drive folder to house all the measurements and images.
Started with the largest size (4000 + microns) because they can be done without any magnification. However, I am going to need a dissecting scope for the smaller sized seeds, and am working on getting access to one for the coming weeks.
Recording length as longest part of the shell, and width as the perpendicular measurement from the length.
I’m not sure how well my picture-taking works for determining whether they are alive or dead, as the images are rather dark.
