Lab Enhancements

Sam and Steven went through the shelf in Rm 213 to the left of the door and determined which kits were worth saving.

The kits and chemicals that were expired/no longer used need to be taken out and disposed as hazardous waste. Since there were upwards of 70 various-sized plastic bottles, I had to call the Environmental Health & Safety to find out what needed to be done in circumstances such as this. Here is a document detailing what I did with links to forms and the website.

Then I labeled the shelves and took an inventory of the kits we’re keeping.

I shipped off some Coho liver samples and rainbow trout tissue samples to a scientist at Rutgers.

And I have been continuing the oyster seed morphology measurements. The end is nearly in sight.
